Titled "The role of
digital media in supporting business" Al Rasheed, the executive manager of Samaat, talked about the importance of defining the
targeted group of the promotion of the project or ideas in the media programs.
Al
Rasheed explained in the lecture organized by the Chamber in its main headquarters
on Tuesday 21 March 2017 that it is not necessarily that the establishment or individual have to have
an account on all platforms or more than one platform, stressing that each
platform has special effect and followers
and different content.
Al
Rasheed said in the lecture, which was
attended by the Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel
and witnessed a remarkable interaction that some parties have succeeded in
benefiting from public events as well as events that are related to the privacy
of people in promoting their products or enhancing their name and status in the
channels of communication, The
need to use it in a smart way and content easy, attractive and not absurd.
Al-Rasheed
pointed out that it is not necessary that the content presented through Twitter
be similar to the one presented on Facebook or Instagram, and it should not
necessarily be different in its forms and patterns. It is not important to be
different in its objectives. Some
of them are dominated by females and other males, hence the importance of
diversity in content patterns.
He
added that commercial or awareness advertising should be in a simple language
acceptable to the public, preferably within the department and not having to
visit another site to obtain information. Users of digital platforms do not
like to visit any other site but want the same platform.
Al
Rasheed said that the digital media helps spread the advertising and achieve
the desired goals when it is committed to high standards related to the content
of distinctive, quality in production and output, and we also neglect the effect
of the famous and influential figures in the promotion because they are connected with their followers and can
invest this relationship in the spread of advertising more than the use promotion paid through the
platform itself.
He
also said that the user must reconsider if
he does not achieve the desired spreading, has to change his policies and high
standards in his productions and then addressing his targeted audience with his language and also tends to cooperate
with the influencers.
At
the end of the event, Secretary General Abdulrahman Al Wabel honored the guest
of the meeting Sami Al Rasheed with a memorial shield.
